Introduction will go here...
I don't have my website planned out yet, so for now I will have a short review of Lorn's Lure here :)
Lorn's Lure is an atmospheric game about an android parkouring through a megastructure.
It is definitely inspired by Blame!, but I have yet to read that manga.
It took me 10 hours and hundreds of deaths. The platforming gameplay reminded me of Celeste for some reason. Probably just has to do with how both games are about climbing something big.
It also felt very Rain Worldy, if Rain World was just about the platforming, and because of the setting being in a sci-fi megastructure.
The movement felt good and fun to master. The PS1 (low-poly) graphics don't take away from the beautiful scenery in each level. I don't quite understand the story or the ending, but it has something to do with following a glitchy owl entity who ends up luring you further and further into this impossible megastructure. I think I got the bad ending because I am a baby and played on Explore Mode, which meant I had a completely different final level. I definitely plan to go back for a collectathon run and the good ending.
So, if you're reading this and you like Blame!, Celeste, or Rain World, please give it a try. It is a wonderful and underrated game.
